There are 52 Steam achievements in 1.0. Here is what the global completion spread says, what the new biome added and what changed for Shroud Roots.
Enshrouded Achievements Guide: All 52 and How to Plan Them
Quick answer: Enshrouded has 52 achievements on Steam in 1.0. Keen added achievements for the new biome, and the Shroud Root achievement was extended to cover the new roots without asking existing players to re-earn it. Everything else about the list is inside the game client. There is no published name list and no published unlock conditions anywhere official, so any page that hands you a tidy table of titles and requirements is writing fiction. This page sticks to the numbers that can be checked and to a plan for clearing them.
- The rarest achievement sits at 0.4% of players and the most common at 95.5%, so the set is far more spread out than a typical campaign list.
- Only 13 of the 52 sit above a 50% unlock rate. Another 13 are below 5%, and three are under 1%.
- The median sits at 21.1%, which means half the list has been earned by fewer than a quarter of owners.
- These percentages are a snapshot from 2026-10-17 and will drift for weeks after launch, because the 1.0 additions only started accumulating data on October 15.

How many achievements there are in 1.0
Fifty-two, and that count is stable enough to plan around: it comes from the same global achievement data Steam exposes for every game, which reports a name and an unlock percentage for each entry. The 1.0 announcement itself is mirrored on Steam's news hub for the game, which is where the changelog was published a day before release. The interesting part is not the total, it is the shape of the distribution.
| Band | How many achievements | What it usually means |
|---|---|---|
| Above 80% | 5 | Wired to the first few hours of the game |
| 50% to 80% | 8 | Reached by a normal playthrough, no special effort |
| 20% to 50% | 13 | Mid-game systems: crafting tiers, exploration, bosses |
| 5% to 20% | 13 | Late-game or optional content |
| Below 5% | 13 | Endgame, heavily optional, or both |
| Below 1% | 3 | The deep end of 1.0 content |
Half of the list sits at a rate lower than 21.1%, which is a useful warning: a completion run is not a matter of playing the campaign to the credits. The upper tail is cheap, the lower tail is where the hours go.
One more reading note. The bottom of the list is unusually low for a game with this many owners. A 0.4% achievement in the launch window normally means either a very long grind or content most players have not reached yet. Right now it is probably both, and that is exactly why a plan beats enthusiasm here.
What the new biome added
The 1.0 changelog states plainly that achievements were added for the new biome, Cinder's Cradle. It does not list them, and it does not give their unlock conditions. Any count you see for "new 1.0 achievements" is a guess, because the public data gives no way to tell which of the 52 entries are new and which are carried over from Early Access.
What the same changelog does tell you is what the new region contains, which is the raw material those achievements hang off: a region sized between Blackmire and Veilwater Basin with 12 Shroud Roots, a lower half of lava ruins partly swallowed by the Shroud, an upper half of floating islands with their own fauna and guardians, two new Hollow Halls, and a new tier of crafting progression with new equipment, tools, food, arrows and spells.

If you are planning a run, the honest approach is to open the achievements panel in the Steam client, keep it open on a second screen, and treat the in-client list as the only authoritative source. That is not a shrug. It is the actual state of the information, and it is why the plan below works from categories and regions rather than from titles.
The Shroud Root achievement and its update
This is the one concrete change Keen spelled out, and it is good news for anyone who played before October 15.
The achievements for defeating Shroud Roots were updated to include the new roots in the areas at the edge of the world. Players who already unlocked the achievement do not have to re-unlock it. In other words, the goalposts for that achievement moved forward with the 1.0 map, and an early unlock was grandfathered in rather than invalidated.
For anyone starting fresh in 1.0, the target moved too. There are 18 new Shroud Roots in total: 12 in Cinder's Cradle and 6 spread across the newly opened world-edge areas of the older biomes. If the achievement tracks a number of roots rather than a fixed set, that is 18 more stops on the map, and some of them sit in regions that are deliberately less packed with points of interest than the critical path. Roots pay out in skill points, which is the part that has to keep pace with the new ceilings in our progression overview.
Which achievements are missable
The official answer, as far as anything official exists, is that Keen has not flagged any achievement as missable. There is no known-issues note about a permanently missable entry, and no patch note about an achievement being fixed after becoming unobtainable.
That is a statement about the absence of information, not a guarantee. Three things make a completion run safer regardless:
- Do not delete or restart a world casually. World progression lives in the world save, and achievements are tied to play, so a reset throws away whatever that world had accumulated. If you plan to start over for the improved early game, finish or archive the old world first rather than overwriting it in place. The save transfer guide covers how those files are laid out and how the rolling backups work.
- Finish story beats in the world where you intend to complete the game. The main quest now concludes with the final encounter high above Embervale. Splitting a run across several worlds spreads progress across several saves.
- Check the client, not a list. Steam tracks per-achievement progress for some entries, and that progress bar is the only reliable signal for how close a specific entry is.
The false-missable worry is worth naming: because 1.0 reset the skill tree on first load of an old save, some returning players assumed progress was wiped. It was not. The reset covers points, not achievements, and the Shroud Root achievement in particular was explicitly preserved.
Settings that affect a completion run
Enshrouded lets you tune the world hard, and 1.0 widened that further. The difficulty preset can be set to Default, Relaxed, Hard or Survival, and under Custom a long list of individual values opens up: enemy health and damage, Shroud time, weapon durability on or off, hunger and starvation, tombstone mode, plant growth speed and the experience modifiers for combat, mining and quests.
For a completion run, Default is the sane choice, and there is a simple reason. A tuned world changes how long everything takes, and every percentage on this page was earned by players on normal settings. Matching them keeps your expectations calibrated and keeps any future comparison meaningful.
The settings exist to be changed, but a completion run wants one consistent world. Pick Default, keep it, and use the dedicated server guide only if you want the world to stay online while you are away from the machine holding it.
If you do run a custom world, do it knowingly. Switching weapon durability off removes a routine chore, and the pacified-enemies option removes combat aggression entirely, which is a different game rather than an easier one.
A realistic completion route
Work in this order and the low-percentage tail stops being intimidating.
- Play the modern early game first. The first level-up now triggers when you place the first Flame Altar instead of when you walk into Longkeep, and the second lands when you free the Blacksmith. Chests were added across Springlands and Revelwood and early recipes were reworked to cut grind, so the first hours now pay out faster than they used to.
- Clear the main quest to the end. The 1.0 story concludes, and finishing it is what unlocks the final Flame level. That single unlock changes how much of the map you can hold, which in turn is what makes late collection reasonable.
- Sweep Shroud Roots while you are still travelling the map for quests. All 18 new roots are on the way to something else if you plan routes instead of hunting them one at a time.
- Do the two new Hollow Halls. One is in the Albaneve Summits and one in Veilwater Basin. Both are long-form dungeons, and both are easier with a group than alone.
- Then start the low-percentage tail. The endgame entries cluster near the top of the progression: the new biome's guardians, the deepest crafting tier, and content that expects a fully upgraded character.
Step five is where the level cap matters, and it is covered in more detail in our progression overview: a character at level 50 with fully upgraded gear is the baseline the endgame assumes, not a bonus.
FAQ
How many achievements does Enshrouded have in 1.0?
52 on Steam, according to the global achievement data for the app as of October 17, 2026.
Do I have to re-earn the Shroud Root achievement after 1.0?
No. Keen updated that achievement to include the new roots at the world edge and stated that players who already unlocked it do not have to unlock it again.
Why can I not find a full achievement list with names and requirements?
Because no official list exists outside the game and Steam client. Keen has not published achievement names or unlock conditions, and the public data only exposes a count and a completion percentage per entry. Treat any named list you find as unverified.
Are any achievements missable?
Nothing official marks any as missable, and no patch notes describe one becoming unobtainable. The practical risks are self-inflicted: deleting a world, restarting repeatedly, or splitting a run across several saves.
Does the 1.0 skill tree reset affect achievement progress?
No. The reset wipes allocated skill points on the first load of an old save and requires you to spend them again. Achievement progress and the Shroud Root achievement specifically were not rolled back.
